Happy Halloween!

We did some super low-key and fun trick or treating with our closest friends!  The Jacobs family, as Rocky and Bullwinkle, with Boris and Natasha:

 Rosie the Riveter, a Ninja, Cinderella, Poodle Skirt Girl, and a pregnant lady (man? I'm so confused! LOL)

 Captain Hook, Wendy, Peter Pan, and Tinker Bell:

 And... a Knight in shining armor, a (knocked up) princess, and our adorable Dragon!

 His first time trick or treating!  Once he got the hang of it, he was totally gung-ho!

 It was so fun and festive to go with all our friends!

Pumpkin Carving!

I think three is the magic age when children all of a sudden start to really realize the fun holiday stuff.  For sure, this year was the first that Cole was super excited and interested in Halloween...and with Little Mister's MEGA sweet tooth, I knew that Halloween would be a favorite!

We started off our festivities with carving pumpkins - Cole enjoyed it SO much!

Fall

Every year when this time rolls around, it's all I can do to not stop the car and make my boys pose in front of every beautiful colored tree I see.  Seriously. 

And one of my proudest parenting moments yet?  A couple weeks ago on our walk, Cole spied a gorgeous maple tree with brilliant red leaves.  He paused on the sidewalk and said to me, "MAMA, I THINK WE SHOULD JUST STAY HERE AND LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL TREE FOR A WHILE."

Why, yes, my son.  Let's do that.  Let's make sure to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us.

Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual Pumpkin Patch trip with some of our closest friends this year - there's nothing more fun than having all our kids run around and play together!

Cole was a huge fan of the tractors:
