Fist-Lovin'!

Cole is loving his fist lately.  His new favorite thing?  Trying to fit both fists in his mouth at once.

If he's anything like his Auntie Meg, he'll succeed.

Pennsylvania Post Part 2

Our next day in Pennsylvania was spent at my dad's side of the family.  My beautiful cousin Abby graduated from high school (*GASP* can't believe she's that old!), so we had a big fun shindig.  As always, my gorgeous son stole the show:
Meeting my beautiful Aunt Terrie:
Cole LOVED his Great-Grandpap - and I think the feeling was mutual.  I had to pry Cole out of Pap's arms to feed him!
Great-Grammy Jean was as sweet as can be.  Cole is Grammy and Pap's first great-grandbaby, so it was extra-special for them to have this time together.
Cole's second cousins (or maybe first cousins once removed? I can never remember these things) Brody and Nate.
My aunt Cal and uncle Tim:
Four generations on my Dad's side:
Oh, how I wish we lived closer to these guys!  It was sooo special watching everyone with Cole!
This was so cute!!
The guest of honor: My gorgeous (and brilliant!) cousin Abby:
When Abby was an infant, she was the first baby I ever held - it was so cool seeing her hold Cole!
My uncle Zane:
Cole was quite at home in Great Grandpap's arms! I have to admit, I felt like quite a proud Mama showing off my beautiful son to all our family!  I can't wait to go back again soon!

Pennsylvania Post Part 1

I was waiting on getting pictures from my dad's camera before posting about our trip to Philadelphia last month.  You know, the one where we are crazy to take a four week old infant on a cross country red eye plane ride?  Yeah, that trip.

Anyway, we started our Pennsylvania time with my mom's side of the family - all of whom Chris hadn't even met yet, and we've been together for eight years!  Cole got to met his Great-Grandma Barbara and have some special time with her.
Here's four generations:
My bright-eyed little man!
I don't have any pictures of Cole with any of my uncles because they were all too scared to hold him!  But it was great to see everyone again and show off my little guy to our extended family.

Biker Baby

Cole was having a blast on the motorcycle the other day.  I can't wait until he's big enough to wear a helmet and go for a ride with his Pap!
We bought this onesie right before he was born - it says "Biker Baby" - too perfect!

I love how you can see his face in the mirror in this picture - isn't it cool?

Diaper Duty

Weird as it sounds, I actually like changing Cole's diapers.

Not just like... I LOVE changing Cole's diapers.

I guess it's not really the diaper-ness that I enjoy - it's the few minutes of undivided attention I have with my son.

Ever since I had to stop breastfeeding, I've really missed that special time that only Cole and I could share.  But we've found ways to make up for it - diaper duty being one.  After Cole is all changed and fresh and clean, I adore just snuggling and smiling and talking with him while we start our day.

I love every minute of spending time with my little man... even if it involves poop and diapers.

Walking?

I have a feeling my little man will be walking before I know it.

He's so strong, he can already support his own weight.  And he's had the alternating rhythm of walking down pat for a month now.

All he needs is someone to hold him for balance, and he's zooming all over!
Yup, time for him to STOP GROWING UP!

Dear Baby,

Dear Cole,

STOP GROWING!!!!!!!!  You are growing up WAY too fast!  Stop it right now!

That's all.

Love, Mama
