Roxy Ann Hike

We've been cooped up being sick for so long, we've really been wanting to get out and enjoy the outside as a family.  Not to brag to our poor East Coasters, but the west has had some record breaking temperatures - 62 last weekend!

So in between our kiddos' naps, we walked up Roxy Ann to enjoy the scenery and sunshine!

We had a quick and lovely picnic:

Beautiful day soaking up the sunshine!

Valentine's Day Photo Shoot

Well, since we spent Valentine's Day in the ER with Chase, I figured it's ok to be late on posting our Valentine's photos.

But don't worry, they are so cute they're worth the wait:

I LOVE these smiling faces! Happy (VERY belated) Valentine's Day!

Hiking

A few weeks ago we made some plans to go sledding with our friends...only to realize the day before that there was NO SNOW!! So we went for a little hike and picnic instead:

Nothin' better than hubbys pushing strollers!

It wasn't sledding, but it was still fun and special hanging out with our pals!

My Helper

A couple nights ago, Cole came in from playing outside while I was wrapping up Chase's bath.  He ran into the bathroom, immediately knelt down beside me and started playing with Chase.  As I gave Chase his one minute warning, Cole pulled Chase's towel down and handed it to me.  I wrapped Chase up and Cole hurried into the room ahead of me and closed the curtains, turned on the sound machine, and laid out Chase's pajamas and sleep sack.

I thanked Cole for all his help, and as I started to dress Chase, Cole said to me: "OK MAMA, I'LL JUST RUN DOWN AND HEAT UP CHASE'S BOTTLE FOR YOU, OK?"

And I proceeded to die from the cuteness of my oldest son.

I'm pretty sure I could just go take a nap and let Cole take care of Chase - he's pretty much got it down!

Chinese New Year Parade

Right before the plague descended on our house, we finally had the chance to go to Jacksonville's Chinese New Year parade!  We've wanted to go for many years, but nap schedules often don't cooperate... thankfully, this year we made it!  And it was totally worth the wait - SUCH a great parade!

They somehow managed to squeeze in about six different cultures during the parade:

The dragons freaked Cole out a bit at first - they were super cool - but once I explained they were puppets and we looked for the peoples' feet underneath, he was ok with them.
Parades are so great!
