Trick or Treating this year was an absolute blast! We met up with our dear friends in their picture perfect neighborhood and had so much fun walking around and collecting treats. It was Isla's first time and she got the hang of it right away! By the end she was opening her treat bag before she'd walk up to the door, and hold it open for the person to drop the treat right inside. She had so much fun and was absolutely adorable!
Art imitated life this year, so we went as a zoo. Presenting our panther, lion, peacock, zebra, and zookeeper (although, I believe I'm the real zookeeper around here!).
Cole's and Chase's costumes were fine to do, but I REALLY had a blast making Isla's. Sparkly onesie? Sequined head band? Peacock feathers and tutus? Oh yeah!
And I think it turned out just adorable!
Chase insisted on holding Cole's hand until he felt a bit more confident walking up to people's houses!
"YOOK WHAT I GOT MAMA! CANDY!"
What fun - I already can't wait for next year!

Happy Halloween!
I just love doing a family themed Halloween costume. It's such a fun challenge for me to figure out how to make everything! We were really struggling this year with agreeing on something - the last few years Cole has stated his opinion and we made it work from there, but this year was trickier. Finally, he declared he wanted a panther costume, and Chase enthusiastically agreed to be a lion (his favorite animal!) so our zoo theme was born.
This year was my first time actually making a onesie for Isla - I couldn't find just what I was looking for, and when I spied this fabric I knew it was perfect!
Cole chose his fabric, informed me of the exact design he wanted, and specified that he wanted a mask with "red sparkly eyes" so that he looked "so fierce".
Oh my - and this adorable lion. He was so easy to please with his costume - our only problem was that he didn't want to take it off! I made it so soft like his favorite footie pajamas and Chase was a huge fan!

Pumpkin Carving!
We had so much fun carving pumpkins this year! Chase and Cole were super into it, and Isla was extremely disgusted by the slime and guts! She was not too keen on the boys handling the innards and insisted loudly that her fingers be wiped immediately if she had any guts on them.
“MAMA, MY PUMPKIN IS SO HANDSOME!!”
This is her "IT'S SO HEAVY!!" face:
One of my favorites is watching the boys concentrate while they make their faces - this year Chase even wrote “BOO!” on his! Favorite family traditions, continued!

5th Annual Apple Picking
Our fifth annual apple picking tradition is still going strong! It's one of my favorite fall traditions and each year gets more and more fun as we add more kids to our crew!
Fifty pounds of apples later, we were set to go! We already can't wait until next year!
