Seaside, Day 2

For Day 2, we started the morning off right: the menfolk went off on a chartered fishing boat trip, so Cole, Grammy and I wandered down to the beach so Cole could have some lovely unstructured play in the sand time:

Cole collected "TREASURES" with every trip to the beach.  Since I wouldn't let him bring them inside, we found a spot on the ramp down to the beach to put them.  Of course, my OCD child "LINE THEM ALL UP! COLE LINE ALL UP JUST RIGHT!".  No messy piles for my boy!

After Cole's nap and lunch, we headed down to the beach again to soak up every drop of sunshine we could.  It was sunny and warm and the water was miraculously NOT freezing!  It was still pretty cold, but Cole jumped right in and we practically had to drag him out when it was time to go.

so. much. joy.

Yup...give my boy dirt/mud, water, rocks, or sticks and he is the happiest little boy!

To top the day off, Chris  and Papa took Cole swimming in the pool before bed:

After this, Cole was waterlogged and exhausted!  I'm pretty sure he fell asleep the second his head hit the pillow!
