Cole's 5th Dinosaur Birthday Party!

For Cole's fifth birthday party, he requested a Dinosaur theme.  We had a great time surfing Pinterest together so he could pick out exactly what he wanted.  His two biggest requests? A dinosaur piñata and chocolate cake!  Such a sweet tooth this boy has.

Gram generously granted his piñata wish and his chocolate dino cake was a lovely group effort!

 

 All the dinosaurs needed party hats, too :)

 

 

 

 We had food for herbivores and carnivores: veggies and meatballs!

Pool Time!

Before Auntie Meg, Uncle Stu, and Ro headed back up to Portland, we crashed their hotel pool for the morning to wear the kids (and parents!) out. 

Is there anything more fun for kids than swimming in a pool? I think not. We all had a blast!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then all the babies took epic naps.  It would be worth it to have a pool for THAT reason alone!

Splash Park

Sunday morning of Memorial Day weekend, we figured we desperately needed to get all these crazy kids out of the house for the morning - so we tried out the splash park!

It wasn't really warm enough for the water part of the park, but the attached play structure park had plenty to do:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 No one will ever love anything as much as this little boy loves swinging!

 

 Rowen had some shoe issues, so Cole took care of her! Cutest thing ever watching these two little buddies:

 

Sand Park

Memorial Day weekend was a mini-family reunion for us! Gram and Pap, Uncle Stu, Auntie Meg, and Ro all came down for the weekend for Cole's birthday party celebration!

Saturday afternoon, we drove to Oregon Hills Park to play in the sand and water.  To say it was a hit was a HUGE understatement! 

 They have these awesome water pumps to fill up the dump buckets:
