Christmas Celebrations

Oh my.  Our Christmas just could not have been any better.  Low key, relaxed, and calm.  Lovely gifts, nothing overboard for Cole, and everyone was as patient as could be with Cole taking his time opening his gifts.  Last year, Cole had a couple times when his behavior was a little off (it's so hard to take turns opening presents when you're two!), but this year he was fantastic at waiting his turn patiently, enjoying his gifts, and generally being his naturally awesome self.  We spent a lot of time talking about what was going to happen on Christmas Day and practicing taking turns with presents, so I think that helped a lot.

Cole, opening his Christmas Eve jammies:

Left some eggnog and biscotti for Santa, carrots for the reindeer:

Santa brought Cole five lovely presents: Something you want, something you need, something you'll wear, and something you'll read... plus one more for fun!
 And our present to Cole:

We also found this Bilibo, which I've been dying to buy for Cole for a while.  I found one at a yard sale for only $2!  So far, he's loved it - and I love watching him figure out things to do on it!

Gram and Pap found a camera for Cole, so he can take pictures like Mama!

Pap gave Gram a Coach bag!
 Cole LOVES his new scooter!

Then Grammy and Papa joined us for even MORE present opening:

My new Jo Totes camera bag!

Both sets of grandparents gave Cole some of the best books he's been wishing for for a long time!  He plopped right down to read:

And Christmas dinner was beautiful!  Everyone gathered around the table with tons of food - it was just perfect.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
