But some days, this is my favorite.
Chris isn't much of a reader.
As in, I've only seen him open a book a couple of times in our entire ten year relationship.
just not his thing, you know?
but for Cole - for his son - Chris will drop whatever he's doing to read to Cole.
even if it means Cole would rather read than go for a bike ride or play ball
Chris will patiently snuggle Cole next to him
and read the book (or books...it's usually more like five or six) that Cole brings him.
truly excellent parenting...doing something that's not your favorite, because it's your child's favorite.
i'm so happy to be parenting alongside such an excellent man.
