Words cannot express how grateful we were they made such an incredibly long drive to come see us! Cole LOVED spending time with Gram and BB (Great-Grandma):
We did some shopping and hanging out in Portland - we even tried to go to the world-famous Voodoo Donuts, but the line was too long. It was seriously going to be like an hour and half wait. For donuts. Delicious and amazing donuts, but still.
So we went to Shari's instead:
After the grown-ups enjoyed the Most Wonderful Place on Earth (Disney World for adults) - IKEA!!! - Cole decided that Mama doesn't have enough gray hairs (6 at my last count...oh dear) and he needed to learn how to climb stairs!
Boy, was he proud of himself! My little climber!
Then we headed to the Oregon Coast:
Cole was especially impressed with the ocean views:
Cole even got to go swimming in a real pool for the first time! He was a little overdue for a nap (actually, he hardly slept the entire trip, so "nap" is sort of an understatement!), so he was a bit overwhelmed, but he really enjoyed it:
And while I got less than 15 hours sleep the entire (5-day) trip and I'm pretty sure Gram and BB will never want to spend the night with my fussy little mister again, we had an awesome time together!
