Ok, so I'm a little late to the game with the whole Christmas posting - and for absolutely no good reason. Oh well. Just think of it as your Christmas season extended a bit!
Waking up Christmas morning:
SO MANY PRESENTS!
Wake up, wake up Daddy!
Opening presents:
You guys, this kid KILLED me with the presents. Usually we end up taking at least all morning to open presents (we always do it one at a time, so everyone can see what everyone got and their reactions - it also helps slow down the overwhelming excitment of it for the kiddos), but my little guy? He took a WEEK to open everything. It was crazy. He'd open a present, then play with it for a while, then check out what everyone else got. We had to convince him to open the next one! But I was really happy that he was so chill about it - I always want him to recognize the generosity and effort that goes into choosing gifts, not simply rush through opening everything.
Lots and lots of books! (his favorite!)
A guitar!
"Here you go, Uncle Stu!"
"Hmm, what's in this one?"
A new puzzle!
Auntie Meg got a Cricut for cake decorating!
My new peacoat!
Uncle Stu gave Cole a candle - he just adored it!
And he was SOOOO excited about his new rainboots from Gram and Pap:
Seriously, he was stomping around in them and refused to take them off!
More candle lovin':Gram and Pap got a Jeep wine tour:
And Cole's last gift was a basketball hoop! Got to practice his mad sports skillz...
"Whoa!!" he said:
"Here, Mama, let me help you with that."
Going in for a layup:
Christmas dinner:
Whew! It was a bit of a whirlwind vacation, punctuated by a complete lack of sleep on our part (more on that to come later), but it was so worth the drive to have our family all together for Christmas!
